CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — $667,000 is going toward answering 988 suicide and crisis calls in South Carolina.
The SC Department of Mental Health recently received a million-dollar Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grant supplement.
“It’s going to allow us 10 new positions- two to focus on follow-up services,” said Jennifer Piver, Executive Director of Mental Health America of Greenville County.
