We are putting the final touches on Operation Santa Claus, ensuring that individuals living with mental illness receive comfort and care during the holidays. At the same time, we’re thrilled to announce new technological advancements at 988, including ASL services and geo-routing, to better connect those in need with local, compassionate support. Together, these efforts highlight our dedication to creating a stronger, healthier community for all.
Exciting Changes at MHAGC: Our Renewed Mission, Vision, and Values

At Mental Health America of Greenville County (MHAGC), we’re thrilled to unveil our refreshed mission, vision, and values—new guiding principles that highlight our commitment to empowering individuals, erasing stigma, and fostering a world where mental health is a priority for all. Our updated mission centers on supporting, strengthening, and saving lives, while our vision looks ahead to a future filled with hope and positive mental health. With core values like equity, collaboration, and empathy, we’re poised to continue delivering life-changing services to our community.

Operation Santa Claus Wrapping up and Thanking all
Operation Santa Claus brought the community together this holiday season to deliver over 400 gift bags to adults facing mental health challenges. Our Program Director Vanessa Vestergaard describes how despite hardships like Hurricane Helene, the program showcased the power of collaboration and generosity, raising awareness, spreading joy, and reinforcing our shared commitment to mental health.

988: A Lifeline for Mental Health Support and Hope
The 988 crisis line connects those in mental health, substance use, or suicidal crises to trained counselors 24/7. Learn how some new tech updates such as ASL Now and geo-routing are improving services.
